The Pappa Pete Hot Dog

I love a good hot dog, like really, really love and for my money Feltman's is the best hot dog you can sink your teeth into! The true Coney Island original is now available online and in select stores and when you get some, pair them with this recipe from my dear old dad, papa Pete!

Pre-heat your oven to 375

What Do I Need

Feltman's Hotdogs (6 pack)

2 Russet Potatoes cut into 1/4" triangles

1 Bell Pepper (I like red) sliced

1 Yellow Onion sliced Olive Oil

Salt & Pepper

Hot Dog Buns (papa pete loves this on a nice torpedo roll, but it's magical on a traditional soft hot dog bun too, that's all we could get today and we still devoured them)

Feltmans Mustard

Now What?

Toss your potatoes in olive oil (to lightly coat) and salt and pepper! Roast them for 15 minutes. While they are cooking toss your peppers and onions in olive oil and salt and pepper, after your potatoes have cooked for 15 minutes, add your peppers and onions and cook for an additional 25 - 35 minutes or until soft.

Grill your gorgeous dogs, grill your buns for a minute then mustard them up with Feltman's AMAZING mustard, place your grilled dog in the bun, top with your potatoes, peppers and onions and serve!

And if you need another reason to support Feltman's, this Veteran owned company is supporting TAPS this Memorial Day weekend to raise awareness and funds for the families of fallen service members, from May 15th - 25th proceeds from all online sales of hot dogs and products will be dedicated to TAPS.
